Problem Statement
Create distinct outdoor spaces surrounding the longhouse to enhance the program of the museum. Additionally, public safety issues must be addressed along the edge of the bluff and wheelchair access to the entry must integrate into the design solution.
Design Solution
A series of spaces are developed to serve different needs of the museum. These include a gathering space, story telling circle and a woodland garden.Local materials are utilized for construction to ensure the landscape maintains its spirit of place.
