Site: The existing site is a wedge-shaped plateau with a broad vista overlooking the ocean.  The recently-completed residence is undergoing a significant overhaul and the outdoor spaces are being upgraded to better function as an extension of  this contemporary residence while taking advantage of the unique qualities of the site.

Problem Statement: To create outdoor spaces adjacent to the dwelling that relate strongly to the contemporary form of the building, capitalize on the dramatic views, and  enhance the functional opportunities of the site.

Design Solution: We worked with the client to create distinct areas around the property that would improve the entry experience and create a dramatic extension of the residence that responds to the needs of the owners and capitalizes on the breathtaking view with a vanishing-edge pool that projects beyond the plateau.
